Make a Paper Sensor Switch
Craft, Activity
Make a sensor input from paper and foil
individual
Sensors can be made from using different craft materials to sense if something is being touched or pressed like keys on a keyboard. A sensor can take the form of an input switch to start or stop the flow of electricity to devices. In this activity, you will make a paper sensor that can be used to trigger actions in a BBC micro:bit. This guide shows a simple design to make a switch using metal foil, paper, glue, and two alligator clips. Building a sensor switch introduces learners to basic electrical circuits and reinforces how inputs, such as pressing the switch, lead to outputs in their code.
