iSpy Radio

In this activity, young learners use challenge cards to find examples of radio technologies in Wavetown, a large colorful illustration of radio devices present in our everyday lives. Young and adult participants are encouraged to work together through prompts on the challenge cards while searching in Wavetown. Several print versions of the illustration (with and without numbering and labels) are available to better assist a range of facilitation styles. Optional extensions include a comic showing the infrastructure required to send a selfie between two Wavetown characters, and a coloring sheet version of Wavetown. A handy identification key is also included for facilitators.
