Activity
Build your own radio communication system
paper
15-30 minutes
camp
In this activity, learners will collaborate with a facilitator to construct a cardboard model of a communication system that reflects their understanding of how radio messages can travel long distances from a sender to a receiver. The facilitator will lead a discussion aimed at eliciting the learners' ideas about the components involved in the communication process and how these components are arranged to facilitate the transmission of radio signals. The activity aims to draw out diverse ideas and highlight areas of consensus or disagreement, laying the groundwork for understanding wireless RF communication.
